Objectives

The general objective of the diploma is to develop skills in the design and evaluation of the user experience and the usability of interactive software systems.
The specific objectives are:

  • To identify factors that influence the user experience and usability of interactive software systems.
  • To evaluate the user experience and usability of interactive software systems.
  • Propose solutions for identified problems.
  • Apply user experience design techniques.

This diploma is aimed at participants in software development projects and those responsible for the evaluation and acquisition of software products in public or private entities. User Experience Designers and advisors in User Experience and Usability of products, systems, services.

Faculty

The main rapporteur of the diploma is Dr. Cristian Rusu, Professor at the School of Computer Engineering of the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaiso. He’s been working since 2003 in UX and usability, as a researcher, teacher and advisor.

Evaluation Methodology

Lectures, case studies, practical activities, experiments in the usability laboratory.

The skills acquired by the participants will be evaluated with conceptual qualification within the practical and applicative activities. Experiments will be carried out in the usability laboratory.
